Table Linens

Table Linens

Table linens shape how a Malaysian dining table reads — a runner anchors a long timber table, a coordinated placemat set protects the surface on everyday use, and a napkin-and-ring set raises the table for entertaining without rebuilding the whole room.

FRWD's table linens range covers the three essentials: table runners in cotton and polyester blends sized for 6-seater and 8-seater tables; placemat sets in woven, quilted and leather-look finishes that hold up to daily heat and spills; and napkin sets with matching rings for hosted dinners. Colour palettes lean neutral (stone, charcoal, warm off-white) with a few statement prints that pair with wood, sintered stone or marble-look tabletops.

For a coordinated look, pair table linens with a FRWD dining table and matching dining chairs. See the full textiles parent range for sofa cushions, throw blankets and cushion covers.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.

What size table runner do I need?

A runner should sit in from each short edge of the table by 150–200mm and extend to within 50mm of the long edges. For a 1,800mm 6-seater dining table, a 1,400–1,500mm runner works. For an 8-seater at 2,200mm, step up to 1,800mm.
2.

Are placemats needed if I already have a runner?

Not always, but they serve different jobs. A runner anchors the centre of the table visually and protects the middle from serving dishes; placemats protect individual place settings from heat and moisture. Everyday Malaysian dining usually benefits from both when the dining table is a finish-sensitive surface (timber, sintered stone, marble).
